Making cross-border delivery from Asia more efficient

Hong Kong-based technology supplier Geeko - also known as IZIBUY App - needed a reliable and cost-effective way to deliver its products overseas. Asendia’s Fully-Tracked Goods service proved the perfect solution, providing a transparent and hassle-free shipping process at a competitive price.

About the customer

Manufacturing technology accessories including mobile phone cases, smart watches and Bluetooth speakers from its factory in Hong Kong, where it employs more than 100 people, the e-commerce company Geeko is a business-to-business supplier that targets clients in both the domestic and international markets. Active since 2005, it is currently focusing on shipping its products to France, although it also has an eye on expanding to countries such as Israel.

The challenge

Until recently, Geeko had been handling all of its international shipping using local postal services, such as France’s La Poste, which was a labour-intensive approach that involved dealing with customs clearances. With sales volumes increasing exponentially, the company needed a low-cost way of delivering overseas that would be secure and transparent, with parcels tracked at every stage.

Being on the verge of launching a smartphone application that will enable customers to buy directly from the supplier rather than via a third-party e-commerce platform, Geeko is forecasting a further boost in sales. To meet this growing demand, the company wanted to identify a shipping method that could be integrated seamlessly into its new app.

The solution
