Written by Asendia | Jul 27, 2026, 8:00:00 AM

Hongkong Post, a designated operator of China (specifically for the special administrative region of Hong Kong), wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that the Hong Kong Observatory announced the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 from 20.10 (UTC+8) on 25 July 2026 until 12.40 (UTC+8) on 26 July 2026.   The processing and conveyance of all international inbound and outbound mail, as well as domestic mail, in Hong Kong were disrupted during this period. Quality of service for all products, including letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items, will be affected.   Operational impacts are expected to continue for at least one day following the resumption of services, as Hongkong Post works to clear the backlog accumulated during the disruption.   Hongkong Post will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as additional information becomes available.   Hongkong Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
