Head of Distribution, Supply Chain APAC

We are looking for a Head of Distribution for Asendia APAC to be based in Singapore. In this position, you are reporting to the Head of Supply Chain APAC. You will become the expert of the supply chain and distribution business that Asendia APAC offers ranging from the activities and solutions we have including fulfilment, postal logistic and premium logistic channels. You will be tasked to build up new distribution channels and partnerships and control the agreed Service Level Agreements externally and internally. You represent Supply Chain APAC to participate in the meetings and tasks of the Asendia Global Distribution Team and manage or contribute to regional and global projects. With your extensive knowledge of E-Commerce business and logistics, that includes air freight business and last mile delivery, you are to provide inputs in the direction of how this company should proceed to use the core functionality of the business to win the market share and garner reputation to be recognised as one of the key players providing supply chain solutions in APAC E-Commerce industry.

Your Tasks

 

To build up and continue growing the existing distribution library with postal and non-postal partners, mainly in Asia, Middle East and Oceania.

To lead negotiations with postal and non-postal last mile suppliers in the APAC region.

Work closely with different stakeholders of the business and determine the options of improvement in terms of distribution solutions to excel the business of E-Commerce.

To be involved and work closely with supply chain and distribution teams in the region and globally for new and current developments and projects and produce insight on the processes which could prove benefit for the future business success.

To participate in regional and groupwide projects, either as a contributor or as the project manager.

To support the regional Head of Supply Chain and the Regional Supply Chain management team in achieving the KPI’s and further strengthen the Supply Chain team for the future.

 

Your Profile

 

Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management preferably.

Extensive knowledge in Supply Chain and last mile distribution. With at least 10 years’ experience in logistics and project management for E-Commerce Business in APAC.

Experience in working with last mile delivery carriers and local postal operators.

Excellent verbal & written communication in English.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders of all levels.

Experience in managing international project works.

Strong independent worker.
