Customer Solutions Manager

As Customer Solutions Manager you will be working for the Asendia Group as a member of the Global Accounts Solutions Team (GAS) in the Customer Solutions & Operational Department. You will play a major role within the team in that you will be responsible for designing new solutions, which will include, but are not limited to, finding new potential partners, designing the operational network and ensuring it works. Additionally, you will be negotiating contracts and rates alongside your line manager for GAS as well as Asendia Group local customers. In undertaking these tasks, you will at the same time be taking into account Market Intelligence on new e-commerce delivery solutions as well as competitor offerings of potential prospects. As an expert in operations and network design, you will be writing Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and Operations Specifications (Ops Specs) for new customers as well as new solutions for existing customers. You will work to gather the operations team’s input and knowledge to share with existing / new suppliers and retailers and to complete all necessary documentation. You will work alongside operational teams, both GAS as well as other Asendia entities, so as to understand the complete end to end processes and will act as backup where necessary, e.g. in the peak period (November-end of December) for the Operations team.

Your Tasks

 

You will be the first point of contact in managing rate requests with current suppliers.

You will produce and maintain internal database of suppliers’ relevant information thus ensuring accuracy of all details and communication are recorded orderly and readily accessible.

You assist in network solutions design and modelling, both for outbound and returns volumes.

You work on the operational element within the onboarding of new customers / new lanes and you act as liaison and coordinator between the GAS team and IT/Project/etc. for the integration of new customers and/or solutions.

Where a solution is not accepted by a potential new client, you find the root cause why alongside your line manager and commercial teams so as to ensure there are lesson learned takeaways.

You gather all necessary service information from relevant teams for tenders and present in a clear, concise manner. You create operations specifications and standard operating procedures as required and review with the relevant internal teams and external partners.

You will be required at times to work directly with clients alongside your line manager in presenting new solutions.

You aid the team in identifying the root cause of issues for new customers/lanes.

 

Your Profile

 

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business with 4+ years experiences in supply chain management, cross-border logistics, operations management.

Retail experience is a plus. Six Sigma/Kaizen training preferred.

You are a self-starter, you are able to work well within a team and individually & you are able to influence without authority within and outside of the business.

You are a team player and always have the team and its goals in mind in your way of working (no working in silos!).

You have a strong understanding of the IT behind the final mile delivery process, specifically tracking & experience in writing Operations Specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.

You are interested in working in international e-commerce logistics, curious and always looking for ways to bring efficiencies to a process.

Your strong communication skills ensure the capability of working with people of various nationalities, on varying levels of hierarchy. Colleagues can always rely on you.
