Belgium - Strike

02 November, 2022

Update

A national strike affecting all sectors and industries is scheduled to take place in Belgium on November 9. We expect this to cause significant disruption on Belgian roads, which will impact all businesses.

We are doing everything we can to minimize the impact on our services, but we feel it is important to update you.

The pick-up and delivery of your parcels and letters on Wednesday November 9 may be disrupted, while deliveries of parcels and letters in the days following may also be delayed if we have to clear any backlog.

We would therefore ask you to deliver your parcels and mail to us before November 9 wherever possible. Please spread the parcels and mail you are unable to deliver to us before November 9 over the beginning of the following week, rather than in one go on November 10. That will enable us to handle your parcels and letters optimally.

Please also note that Friday November 11 (Armistice Day) is a national holiday in Belgium, which means we are closed.

We will notify your customers through our Track & Trace and My bpost app that their parcel may not be delivered on November 9 due to the national strike.

Rest assured that we are here to answer any questions you may have. But please note that, on November 9, you can only reach us through your trusted digital channels, our Customer Support Tool and by email at service.centre@bpost.be.

Thank you for your understanding in these exceptional circumstances.
