Chad – Measures to limit the spread of COVID-19

05 January, 2021

Update

The designated operator of Chad, the Société Tchadienne des postes et de l'Epargne (STPE), asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, as part of a reinforcement of sanitary measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, a lockdown has been implemented in the capital, N'Djamena. This lockdown is effective from 4 January 2021 for one week and may be extended. All inbound and outbound passenger flights to and from N'Djamena have been suspended during the lockdown. The STPE thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding, and will provide updates via EmIS as appropriate.
