Colombia – Offer of transit services

19 June, 2020

Update

The designated operator of Colombia, Servicios Postales Nacionales S.A. 4-72, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, as an essential service provider, it is exempt from the restrictions on movement brought in by its government. As such, Servicios Postales Nacionesl S.A. 4-72 continues to provide national and international services with due observance of all the relevant protocols and particularities of the COVID-19 health emergency.

We have seen through the EmIS messages issued by the UPU International Bureau that many designated operators are dealing with restrictions such as flight cancellations, border closures and government decisions that have affected their provision of inbound and outbound international mail services.

Servicios Postales Nacionesl S.A. 4-72 wishes to communicate that it can currently rely on partner airlines to provide an active service with operational capacity across a geographical area that allows member countries to connect with the following destinations: United States of America, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay and Guatemala.

As a result, Servicios Postales Nacionesl S.A. 4-72 wishes to offer member countries and their designated operators à découvert and closed transit services for all mail categories (letter post, parcel post and EMS) to the above-mentioned destinations within the framework of bilateral agreements setting out the operational and remuneration conditions assumed by each party.

Interested member countries are invited to contact Servicios Postales Nacionesl S.A. 4-72 at the following e-mail addresses: angelica.vanegas@4-72.com.co; libia.sanchez@4-72.com.co; and camilo.gil@4-72.com.co.

Servicios Postales Nacionales S.A. 4-72 thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
