Grenada – Update on the resumption of postal operations

23 September, 2020

Update

The designated operator of Grenada, Grenada Postal Corporation, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that Grenada reopened its borders to regional and international flights on 1 August 2020, and has resumed full business operations. However, some regional airports remain closed, and international flights from Canada and the United Kingdom have not yet resumed, which is affecting the receipt and delivery of mail.

Discussions are underway with a new regional airline so as to fill the void left by airlines that are no longer operating. Discussions are also ongoing with Canada Post and Royal Mail Group to find alternative transit routes.

Grenada Postal Corporation thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and cooperation.
