Hong Kong, China – Disruption to postal services

China, Hongkong Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the passage of typhoon Lionrock on 9 October 2021 has had an impact on quality of service for all inbound and outbound mail services (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).

Operations are gradually resuming, but the impact of the typhoon is expected to last at least one day following the lifting of the typhoon warnings, while the accumulated backlog is cleared.
