Hong Kong, China – Impact of Nangka tropical storm on mail services

14 October, 2020

Update

The designated operator of Hong Kong, China, Hongkong Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Nangka tropical storm, which triggered a No. 8 typhoon signal between 5.40 and 19.40 on 13 October 2020, has had an impact on quality of service. All inbound and outbound letter-post, parcel-post and EMS services are affected. Operations will be resumed gradually and it is expected that it will take at least a day to clear the accumulated backlog once the typhoon passes. Hongkong Post thanks all other Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
