Hong Kong, China – Tropical storm

26 August, 2022

Update

Hongkong Post, the People's Republic of China's designated operator for the territory of Hong Kong, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the processing and conveyance of all inbound, outbound and domestic mail has been disrupted owing to the tropical cyclone Ma-on. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 was hoisted in Hong Kong between 19.25 on 24 August and 09.20 on 25 August 2022, when operations were affected the most. Quality of service for all services, including outbound and inbound EMS items, air parcels and air LC/AO, has been affected as a result. It is expected that the impact will last for at least one day before backlogs are cleared and operations return to normal.
