Poste Italiane, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the major Italian unions have confirmed a 24-hour strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST on 29 September 2023, involving ground handlers and all other airport service personnel at all Italian airports.
Disruption is to be expected in the handling of inbound and outbound airmail at Milan's Linate and Malpensa airports. Mitigation measures will be taken at the airmail units, but the impact is nevertheless expected to continue over the weekend until 1 October 2023.
