Japan – ITMATT messages

Update

Japan Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, although it has been duly submitting ITMATT messages since 1 January 2021, a problem with the system is currently preventing it from sending these messages to destination countries. Accordingly, it kindly asks designated operators to process postal items from Japan as normal without ITMATT data for the time being.

Japan Post is making every effort to restore the system as soon as possible. It thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding, and will notify them through EmIS when the system is operating normally.
