The designated operator of Latvia, Latvijas Pasts, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Latvian Government has extended the state of emergency until at least 6 April 2021. Therefore, the situation of force majeure previously declared is being extended until further notice, and the measures announced in EmIS 608/2020 continue to apply. During the state of emergency, postal services will continue to function with restrictions such as reduced working hours in post offices and reduction of the workforce to minimize contact between people.
