Malaysia – Heavy rains and flooding

Pos Malaysia, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the country is experiencing heavy rains and extensive flooding. The postal network has been severely affected and some post offices are closed. Certain roads are inaccessible to traffic, which is causing delays in the delivery of all types of mail.

The areas affected, from 19 December 2021, are in the following postcode ranges:

25xxx – 28xxx; 40xxx – 43xxx; 45xxx; 471xx; 63000; and 64000.

The localities affected, either partially or in their entirety, are as follows:

Kuantan; Pekan; Gambang; Maran; Jengka; Padang Tengku; Raub; Bentong; Karak; Genting Highlands; Lanchang; Temerloh; Shah Alam; Kota Kemuning; Puncak Alam; Klang; Pelabuhan Klang; Bestari Jaya; Jeram; Kuala Selangor; Balakong; Bt 9 Cheras; Puchong; Dengkil; and Nilai.

Pos Malaysia is making every effort to maintain the universal postal service and all international postal services, and apologizes in advance for the unavoidable delays.
