Nepal – Suspension of inbound flights

05 May, 2021

Update

Nepal Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Nepalese Government has decided to suspend all inbound flights to Kathmandu with effect from 6 to 14 May 2021, with the exception of flights within an air transport bubble with India. All domestic flights have already been suspended with effect from 3 May 2021, and public transportation is also suspended. A partial lockdown was implemented from 29 April 2021 for a period of two weeks.

These measures may result in delays to the collection, transportation and delivery of mails. Nepal Post remains unable to accept outbound mails to countries other than India, until such time as the passenger flights normally used to transport mail are resumed.

Nepal Post thanks other Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
