The designated operator of the Philippines, Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that work will be suspended in all government offices on Monday, 29 December 2025 and Friday, 2 January 2026. On these dates, the following operational arrangements will be in place: 29 December: • Only mall post offices, as required under existing agreements with mall operators, will be open; • The Express Mail Exchange Division and Air Mail Exchange Division (AMED) will perform daytime processing of express mail items and air parcels, respectively, intended for Metro Manila hubs, for transfer to the Metro Manila exchange hub couriers (“big 3 post offices”) on the evening of 29 December; • Offices of exchange (OEs) will maintain a skeleton workforce for the receipt and safekeeping of inbound international dispatches; • A skeleton workforce will likewise be maintained for the processing of outbound international mail dispatches; • There will be no mail receipt of mails from, or dispatch to, the Visayas and Mindanao areas; • All other offices will be closed on this day. 2 January: • Only mall post offices, as required under existing agreements with mall operators, will be open; • OEs will maintain a skeleton workforce for the receipt and safekeeping of inbound international dispatches; • A skeleton workforce will likewise be maintained for the processing of outbound international mail dispatches; • There will be no mail receipt of mails from, or dispatch to, the Visayas and Mindanao areas; • All other offices will be closed on this day.
