United States of America – Closure of the USPS office of exchange at San Francisco

20 December, 2021

Update

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recommended that designated operators make arrangements to send their international mail dispatches to alternative USPS offices of exchange and cease sending dispatches to the San Francisco office of exchange by no later than 14 January 2022. USPS listed the following alternative USPS offices of exchange: Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK) and Miami (MIA).

After that date, USPS will not be present to accept dispatches from airlines. Therefore, it is important that designated operators make arrangements with their transport providers to send dispatches to one of the alternative USPS offices of exchange listed above.
