Argentina - Update on inbound international mail operations

Further to EmIS 184/2026, the designated operator of Argentina, Correo Oficial de la República Argentina (Correo Argentino), wishes to provide Union member countries and their designated operators with updated operational information concerning Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza – EZE) for the period from 25 October to 11 November 2026. During this period, scheduled infrastructure works will result in runway restrictions affecting the acceptance of large cargo aircraft at Ezeiza International Airport. As a consequence, the transportation and receipt of international postal dispatches destined for Argentina may be affected, depending on the contingency arrangements established by each airline or transport provider. Designated operators are therefore requested to: * contact their airlines and transport providers to confirm available transportation options to Argentina during the above-mentioned period; * consider alternative routeings, connections or intermediate stops using aircraft compatible with the applicable operational restrictions; * where operationally feasible, assess closed/open transit through third countries; * inform Correo Argentino of any alternative routeing requiring specific coordination (by e-mail at procesos_internacionales@correoargentino.com.ar). Moreover, Correo Argentino is working to establish an alternative point for the receipt of international postal dispatches at another international airport in Argentina. Further operational details will be communicated once this alternative has been confirmed. The situation may also affect outbound international mail from Argentina. Alternative operational arrangements are being coordinated with transport providers; further information will be communicated separately if necessary. Mail items related to electoral processes will receive priority attention. Designated operators requiring specific coordination for electoral or other time-sensitive mail are requested to contact Correo Argentino at procesos_internacionales@correoargentino.com.ar as soon as possible. This message updates and supersedes the operational information previously communicated regarding the impact of the Ezeiza Airport restrictions.
