France - Extension of force majeure measures related to wildfires

Further to EmIS 153/2026, the designated operator of France, La Poste, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that the wildfire situation affecting the Gironde (33) and Landes (40) departments is now under control.   As a result, postal operations are gradually returning to normal across the affected areas, including the collection, transport, processing and delivery of letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.   Nevertheless, in order to mitigate any residual operational risks and ensure the continued stability of postal services, the current EmIS notification will remain in effect until 6 August 2026.   The list of affected municipalities remains unchanged from the previous notification.   La Poste is continuing to closely monitor the situation and will provide further updates should circumstances require.   La Poste thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
