Panama - Suspension of acceptance of items containing goods in transit to EU countries

The designated operator of Panama, Correos Panamá, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that, given the recent changes to the European Union’s import regulations abolishing the duty-free de minimis threshold for imported goods, it is suspending the transit service for items containing goods destined for all EU countries. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods that are destined for an EU country and arrive at Correos Panamá’s exchange offices or its integrated postal processing centre will, as far as possible, be returned to the country of origin. Correos Panamá thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their cooperation in this matter.
