bpost, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the major unions within bpost have called a strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST (UTC+2) on Monday, 22 April 2024.
This will affect letter and parcel deliveries, as well as bpost's domestic and international logistics network.
Furthermore, bpost's facilities will not be reachable by road or air transport, and bpost will not be in a position to accept and process any inbound mails, nor to process and dispatch outbound mails.
As a consequence, designated operators are kindly requested to withhold their export volumes for all categories of mail (letter post, parcel post and EMS, as well as open and closed transit services) scheduled to arrive in Belgium on 22 April 2024. At this point in time, the possibility that the industrial action might last beyond 22 April cannot be ruled out.
