Canada – Resumption of normal procedures for signature items

22 July, 2022

Update

Canada Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that it has reinstated normal procedures for signature items with effect from 4 July 2022. This means that physical signatures will again be captured on portable data terminals upon delivery, and personal contact items (those requiring signature, proof of age or collection of customs fees) will no longer be automatically directed to a nearby post office, except in cases where a signature cannot be obtained at time of delivery.
