Georgia - Lockdown of verification unit serving Tbilisi IMPCs

Georgian Post, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to an outbreak of COVID-19 infections, the verification unit serving the Tbilisi international mail processing centres (IMPC codes beginning with GETBS) has been locked down.

With all staff testing positive, operations at the unit are paralyzed. As a result, Georgian Post will be unable to provide verification notes to its partners with effect from 17 November 2021.

Georgian Post requests that its partners take the above situation into account and treat any resulting delays as exceptional in order to avoid penalties of any kind. It will send the outstanding verification notes as soon as possible.
