Papua New Guinea – State of emergency owing to civil unrest

Post PNG, would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Government of Papua New Guinea has declared a state of emergency, effective for 14 days from 12 January 2024, as a result of protests and civil unrest that broke out on 10 January 2024.

As a result, delays are to be expected in the collection, processing and delivery of incoming and outgoing mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).
